The Shithouse Opera was recorded over many years in the first decade of the 2000s. Acts 1-3 have been previously released in some form or another, with Act ii actually having received the CD treatment. Act iv, the Fool, has never seen the light of day until now. It was one of the last projects American Watercolor Movement were working on before their hiatus in the late 2000s.

Besides access to the full resolution mixes (48k/24bit), the Bandcamp edition features additional images of alternate album covers, which held this release up 2 years.
